Sven departure is ridiculous. He should be give the three years he was first offered or at least a minimum of two.

Nothing wrong with coach Sven Erikson. The problem is the lunatic who put his faith in return on a ludicrous investment. A coach may have a n excellent technical knowledge and a world of experience, he still has to have the wisdom to decide which part of his frame of reference fits this particular team! Club administrators' awareness on this subject is non-existent. Which, among other factors, explains their botched-up decisions.

Personally, it is unfair that Thaksin Shinawatra treated Eriksson like trash. Thaksin has no right to say that Eriksson is not right for the job as Man City Manager when Thaksin is not fit to be an owner.

Sven has done what he set out to do this season. That is a top ten finish and European qualification.It seems to me that we have got a Thai "Peter Swales" in charge.Thank the Lord he can't deal with his opponents the same way he did in his own country, ALLEGEDLY.

Sven should get another year but he has to stop playing 4 5 1 at home. It may have brought success in italy but not in the premiership. Play 4 4 2. Benjani and Sturridge would terrify defences.

Sven comes in 2 weeks ahead of the season, he has to panic buy to a large degree, but by luck or judgement gets City off to a great start in the Prem.Everyone's happy at City for once, we're seeing better football if only in random patches but we're winning so all is well, and well enough for the new owner to say Sven has got the job for life,(Think).Christmas comes and yes it happens, just like a racehorse that comes out of the gate to eager and storms into an early winning position, the City side that was always going to fade, did just that, (but wait). Anyone that knows football knows that all side in a season go through a slump, and varying degrees. The early great form linked with all the new players in the side, well their getting used to the premier league as well, so they were always going to hit that wall in the second half of the season, (Thats not rocket science so no suprizes then). All the usual excuses can be rolled out because they apply. We then beat Manchester United at their place, say no more.(The sun is briefly out again, fantastic). So now we really know Svens got the job for life, and even the new owner reinforce's this by telling everyone alls well, and he will be happy with a top ten finish in the first season, so on and so forth, (Lets pat each other on the back's things are looking up). Now hang on, this is were the ride starts and the confusion begins, because with all this feelgood factor about, I'm parting with my season ticket money no problem, this is finally the direction I've wanted the club to be going in for years, Galactico's could be signing for us, (that's if no one at Barca see's us sneak him out the back door with a bag over his teeth). Funny thing is, that from up here on cloud nine I can see straight into the madhouse that is the real Man City, and guess what? yes! a left foot and a right are stood talking to each other outside the ground, and one say's to the other "there is no way I'm playing russian roulette with you again, so hop it", (Sorry). To get serious again, it's clear to me, and I'm no genius, words were exchange after the Fulham game and of a not too cordial nature between The Good doctor and Sven. Sven has then panic's a bit, especially after the England situation, the thing is I don't really blame him, I would have probably reacted in a similar way because I really struggle to understand Dr. Thaksin, and I don't say that with any disrespect what so ever, I really find it's hard to understand him, add to this the fact that Sven's a Swede and although his English is really good, even he can make the odd simple sentence sound like tongue twister, so maybe just maybe these 2 blokes have genuinly misunderstood each other, I for one really hope so. Thaksin appears to wants Sven to take the team on tour, that could be seen as a peace offering could'nt it. Finally, I believe it is far to early to tell if Sven is going to be a great manager for us, not even Dr Thaksin is that good a judge I'm affraid, and especially with the evidence of what's happened so far this season, it's been more than good enough. Maybe some of the so called superstars that we are trying to attract are stirring thing's up, maybe they refusing to come if Sven'sin charge, who can say? All I know is I respect both men, they both seem to wear their hearts on their sleeves and they have both brought a huge amount to the club, but more for the sake of the club, the players and the fans do I dearly hope that this issue can be put to bed as soon as possible, my club has been torn and twisted every which way for far to long (I'm sick of typical City) we need stability, someone who's going to be given time to build, only time determine's greatness. If Sven goes to Benfica then wins them trophy's, as he no doubt will, how will we all feel then? Anyone got a Chrystal Ball?

Ridiculous to sack Sven after one season. He has acheived a lot & look at what happened with Utd's fortunes for having patience with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ok, it's a given that Sven will be leaving, but what next?Sven has done a good job this season, and let's not forget the defensive injuries we have suffered with recently.Who would want this job? You complete the given target at the end of the season and still get sacked!Come on Dr T let Sven see out his contract and then see where we are.

Sven and the Players will be allright. In fact they'll probably be better off out of it. Meanwhile we are stuck with a Thai reincarnation of Swales in a silk suit and face the prospect of 2 managers a year until 5 years down the line when we finally hound him out, we find ourselves in the 2nd division with a load of fancy dan players and a wage bill we can't meet.We've been here before and know exactly what the future holds - nothing good.

Why does Sven have to go when he's no 1!!!! He's won gold trophey's with nearly all his football clubs he's managed. Why is Thaksin doing this to Sven when he's a good manager?

IanI am confused and concerned. Not just for Sven but for Richard Dunne. What does Thaksin want? This has gone beyond a Soap Opera now, now it is a complete and utter Brian Rix farce!! If Sven goes it will be a very backward step. If Dunnie goes then it will be a total and utter disaster. Richard Dunne has been an inspiration for the team this year. This was obvious in the Fulham match when he was not available through injury. The team just collapsed. If either Dunnie or Didi Hamman had played they would have pulled them together and pulled them through. OK the second half of the season was not as good as the first but it was better than last season. Sven did the job he was asked and he gets sacked. If one of these others comes in who is to say they won't go next year? I am still trying to come to terms with it all and will be at the rally tomorrow. I am usually a glass half full person but this has pushed me into the glass half empty state!!

After supporting City for over 50 years absolutely nothing could surprise me. We've had some good times and some great times,although I must say more bad times,in fact some of the bad times have perversely been great, going down to the depths when losing at Stoke "are you watching Macclesfield!!". Then the 2nd division, the lower we dropped the harder it was to get tickets. Through all this the self deprecating humour and comradery was unique to City fans nothing could get us down. Even when a cluster of balloons (not the players) knocked us out of the cup this season we took it on the chin. Now though after Thaskin's antics, the attitude of the City fans I know has changed, it's as though we are no longer part of City, we are just paying customers. If Sven does go I'm sure every City fan will wish him well. As we will Dunny, Micah, Michael Johnston,Stevey Ireland and Joe Hart. Never mind we'll have a load of old,international, deadbeats who will be instantly recognizable in the Far East and Shinawatra will be a happy man for another few months, then.........

It seems that Shinawatra is a little more ambitious than us City fans. Perhaps we are so condiitoned to years of mediocrity that we are clinging to a derby double as an emblem of success. One does not become a billionaire prime minister by makiong rash descisions. Give Sven another year I say, but don't castigate the man who made our revival possible.

Football is full of opinions and that is right and proper. Not only do I follow God's Own Team but I also referee in leagues around Bury and every opinion expressed on the field and by those on the touchline are perfectly valid, although I fail to understand how they know about my parentage!. However the good Dt T funded the buyout and, whether he was 1st choice or not, gave us Sven. The season we have just enjoyed, and I have, every minute of it, has been facilitated by Dr T, so as far as I am concerned he's ok. Yes I prefered the first half of the season, I can't remember a previous season walking out of Eastlands with a smile on my face week after week as we did between August and January, and yes 2008 wasn't the best we have played but it was miles better than the worst we have played. Top ten finish and all 6 points off the Rags, we are in heaven so I have just one request, whoever is the manager next year, and I would prefer Sven to most of the names being touted around, can we please get off our sofas and into the ground, stop moaning every time a ball goes astray, get behind the team and start chanting you heads off, that way we WILL qualify for Europe. Heaven help us if we had this time, we would have been out in the early stages ! C'mon City fans, get behind the team

Eriksson has achieved what was required of him in his first season, and given city fans hope for the future, we have reached our highest league position for a long time and played some good football, the second half of the season was disappointing nobody is denying that, but changing the manager is not the answer, changing the attitude of the players is the answer, they need to go into every match with the attitude that they want to win more than the team they are playing, and in the 2nd half of the season that was not always evident, they were slower to the ball and reluctant to get stuck in. It is only by keeping the same manager and the players getting used to what is required of them that we will acheive the success we want, although it pains me to say, this has been proved across the city.

thaksin must be a shroud businessman to have amassed all his wealth,if mid table isn't good enough for him why the complaints? obviously he's setting higher standards and he doesn't think svens got what it takes. svens lived in a hotel for a year, how commited to staying is that? suprise suprise he's already held talks with another club, he's sneaky, only in it for the millions

In a way Thaksins actions impress me in that it shows his desire for success and that he won't accept mediocre football, which it has been since about Christmas. His naivety frightens me though, and he really does need to listen to the people at the Club before making ridiculous footballing decisions like this. Sven is a quality manager and it was a real coup to get him, I can't believe what is going on.

I just cannot believe Sven is going. After the most successful season for along time, and the derby double over United I do not understand Thaksin's way of thinking. Sven MUST stay to finish the job he has started. Are we going to change Manager every season when a few results don't go our way? We are 9th in the league - that in itself is a success.

if any team like manchester city were in the bottom 3 then sacking the teams manager would be seen as a last resort but not when their in the top half of the premiership?would it help 2 show some support in showin how much sven means to the fans of manchester -city,by not going to any of man-city's games @ end of this season & before & once the new season starts in august,cos this time next year man-city could then be in the relegation zone?if that does happens & city get relegated it will be the chairman & the whole boards fault 4 getting rid of sven,they cant turn the clock back the damage as been done.
