New single, Get In Line, is a perfectly crafted chunk of guitar pop; so seriously contagious, you may need a medicinal cure. Failing that, secure your sanity with dancing – it’s the only way you’ll make it out alive. ![]() The Runners Blending set to set as though they were specially designed to play together, Assembly Now follow suit, yet leave the crowd in a somewhat of a frustrated state. Totally unpretentious, they prove capable of producing more bursts of glorious grit pop in a half hour set than the majority of indie darlings can attempt to churn out in a career. So, why do they remain without a permanent label behind them? Their slightly disjointed brand of indie rock n roll storms the stage with punk liberation, ensuring It’s Magnetic remains a firm favourite, much to the joy of those that have ventured out on a Monday. If they don’t get signed in the coming months, one can only imagine a large segment of A&R folk have been struck down with a synchronized eye/ear infection and then retreated to a mystery island. Music types, sort it out! last updated: 20/07/07 You are in: Manchester > Entertainment > Music > Reviews > Assembly Now + The Runners at Night and Day [an error occurred while processing this directive] [an error occurred while processing this directive] [an error occurred while processing this directive] |
