  • The BBC Bus will be in Exchange Square for a live BBC Radio Manchester broadcast. If you've got little ones, bring them along to dance to Boogie Beebies on the BBC Big Screen. The RSPB will still be there with the Big Screen webcam on the peregrine falcons, nesting at a secret location within the city centre.

Urbis:

  • Giant nest building activities for kids.

Arndale Centre:

  • Manchester Museum will be coming to you, with lots of hands on artefacts
  • Bug Performances - every hour on the hour.

Chorlton Water Park:

If you can't come in to town, we’ve got a day of Springwatch activities at Chorlton Water Park including:

  • Pond dipping (11-11.45am)
  • Mini beast hunting (11.45-12.30pm)
  • Pond dipping (13/13.30-14.15pm)
  • Mini beat hunt (13/13.30-14.15pm)

There will also be a Mobile library at the park so people can join up on the day and find out more about the 'Big Wild Read' for children, which is happening in libraries across Manchester over the summer holidays. For every book children read, a tree will be planted!

BBC Springwatch Festival Manchester takes place on Saturday June 9, 11 - 5pm.
