Just how dramatic is a cup of tea? We rely on tea in times of need, times of celebration, and sometimes the tea can actually be the event.
As part of the Made in England project across the north east, a performance company used actors playing characters from all walks of life to help pursuade people to share their stories over a relaxing brew.

The cast travelled in a caravan decked out like a 1940's tea room. The cosy cushions and flocked wallpaper added a confidential and conspiratorial air. Some came in for two minutes - some twenty - and all enjoyed a tasty cuppa and a natter.
