Paul Addison, BBC Tees Sports Editor Simon Pryde, Radio Newcastle Sports Editor Jeff Brown, Look North Sports Presenter Paul Newton, Radio Cumbria Sports Editor Eileen Bellett, BBC Regional Audience Council in the North East and Cumbria Melanie Magee, Newcastle Falcons Community Manager Keith started coaching at St Francis Football Club in 1996. When it looked as though the club was going to disappear Keith set up his own team, St Francis 2000 FC which he has run ever since. And he doesn't stop at managing the team, Keith also cuts the grass, marks out the pitches, washes the strips and raises money for the club. Help playing audio/video The person who nominated Keith for the award emphasized that although a number of young people he's coached have ended up playing professionally he doesn't just concentrate on the more able children. Keith believes in encouraging everyone no matter what their ability as long as they enjoy it. ![]() The search for Sports Unsung Hero, sponsored by Robinsons, is taking place across the United Kingdom. It will see winners initially named in the following BBC areas: Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, East, East Midlands, London, North East & Cumbria, North West, South, South East, South West, West, West Midlands, Yorkshire, East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire.
