Keith started coaching at St Francis Football Club in 1996.

When it looked as though the club was going to disappear Keith set up his own team, St Francis 2000 FC which he has run ever since.

And he doesn't stop at managing the team, Keith also cuts the grass, marks out the pitches, washes the strips and raises money for the club.

The person who nominated Keith for the award emphasized that although a number of young people he's coached have ended up playing professionally he doesn't just concentrate on the more able children. Keith believes in encouraging everyone no matter what their ability as long as they enjoy it.

The search for Sports Unsung Hero, sponsored by Robinsons, is taking place across the United Kingdom. It will see winners initially named in the following BBC areas:

Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, East, East Midlands, London, North East & Cumbria, North West, South, South East, South West, West, West Midlands, Yorkshire, East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire.

Bursaries of up to £2,500 are available to winners of each regional award, to help them with their work in sport

The regional Unsung Hero winners will then go forward to the star-studded BBC Sports Personality of the Year programme, where an overall winner will be named.
