Your good luck messages

Thousands of runners took to the streets on April 26 2009 for the Flora London Marathon.

After months of gruelling training in snow, wind and rain, runners from around the UK and beyond descended on Blackheath to run more than 26 miles and raise millions for charity.

As ever it was a test of endurance few can contemplate but many admire as the thousands of spectators who lined the streets of the capital can testify.

Those brave (or mad enough) to enter the race could count on one thing - lots of support.

The public never fails to turn out in their thousands to motivate friends and family but also complete strangers when the going gets tough.

So, below are the hundreds of messages of support submitted to us. Thank you
