On Sunday 2nd December 2007, BBC LONDON revealed the 15 winners of this year's BBC London Sports Awards. Short listing for Awards

BBC sports staff in London compiled a shortlist of candidates for each award. These were put to a BBC panel, comprised of BBC staff and sports people from across London, who decided the overall winners. On this year’s panel the judges were: Pete Stevens (BBC London Sports Editor), Sara Orchard (BBC London Sports journalist), Steve Ashton (BBC London Regional Advisory Council Member) and Vinny Codrington (Middlesex CCC Chief Exec).

Rising Male and Rising Female:
The winners have achieved a high standard of performance throughout 2007 and are both aged 18 years or under on 31st December 2007. This Award was supported by Sport England which agreed the nominees and winners with BBC London Sports Staff.

Unsung Hero Award supported by Robinsons:
The public were invited to nominate their Unsung Heroes however the nominations closed on the 3rd November.
