Have Your Say

Super Sarnies
UP THE EGHAM!

Hong Kong John
I was born in Staines (Richmond Road) but have lived in Hong Kong the past thirty years. Went to watch a number of games at Wheatsheaf Lane as a kid, my idle then was neville Warner the tall lanky CF. I was absolutely over the moon to hear about the win over Stockport and will be listening in with the Beeb for the Peterborough game for sure!!!

neville barnard
big up to staines massive and beat the posh i live in peterborough and would like a staines win nev

Richard Bolton
Dear players, management and fans of Staines,I am a Brit, yet lived in the U.S.A. for the past thirty years. I am a true football supporter. There is nothing like the F.A. Cup.Particularly when pitting non-league against league. The magic, the atmosphere and adrenaline running through the veins.Play your hearts out Staines, use the 12th. man (home fans!), run and chase down every ball for 90 mins. On any given day it is 11 on 11. As a team you have nothing to loose, enjoy and relish what is happening, soak it up, wave your arms up and down encouraging your fans on to cheer. On this day be one on one with everyone in the stadium. Be united, fight as one on the pitch and in the stands.Do not get ahead of yourselves, Oh! go on then........... you are only one round, one win away, from being at home to Man. Utd., or Liverpool.WOW...WOW...WOW!!!All the very best Stains, go get um!!!!!Richard Bolton

What ever the result on Saturday, it's been a fantastic season and journey so far. Reading comments elsewhere, many Peterborough fans think they have the game won already, Woking paid the price for the arrogant attitude of their fans, which indeed help steer the super Swans onto victory. Let's hope a lack of respect from Fensland can do the same.We must remember that the FA Cup is not about the bandwagon jumpers (especially from the league clubs, even if they live locally, it makes me sick!), and celebrities who couldn't care less about anything but the publicity then can generate for themselves (reference to Keith's post - no idea whatsoever!), or the media also jumping on the bandwagon (EG: BBC SCR are only usually interested in the conference clubs, and suddenly we are receiving live coverage! Idiots) - it's about the non legaue clubs like Staines and the regular fans who are happy to travel miles to watch their team whatever the weather or the opposition, and of course the players, management, coaching staff, officials and volunteers - it's their moment not anyone elses. Why should anyone else have a right to hog the limelight, when they will soon desert us when the cup run is over. Will you be there on Saturday December 8th when we play at home to Borehamwood? No, I didn't think so.

alex smith

Sort of 'jumped on the Staines Town' bandwagon the other night, although I was brought up in the town and my old man lives in Laleham.Brilliant evening, great result, and full credit to everyone involved..if only my team played with as much passion..will def be down to see The Swans again soon.

Great night . . . Come on you Swans!

Lizzi
I woudn't say I was a massive football fan but as a Staines local I felt it mgiht be an interesting night. It's now Friday and I am hoarse from screaming last night. After Tuesday's dismal game of footbal it was inspring to see a bunch of firemen and estate agents create a little bit of FA Cup magic - absolutely loved it!!!!!!!

Ronny of Staines
Monumental achievement by the Swans. Best bit for me was Murdock leading the pitch invasion after the penalty shoot-out! Check it...Ayeeeeeeeee!

Tony Treasure
Well done lads from a Leatherhead supporter living in Aberdeen.

Peter Jordan
Well done Staines! Bring o nthe Peterborough!

Israr
come on stainesyou can do it and get the job finished and play peterbrough

Terry Smith
I was a Staines fan in the pre-Alan Boon days and still follow their results closely. I saw them play Wimbledon in Wimbledon's last non-league game and the home game against Banco di Roma but nothing beats this! The FA Cup is the dream and (let's hope) Stockport have a nightmare! Come on you Swans.

Alan Wright
Gutted about Monday but hey - the day that the world we see what a great team Staines is comes on Thursday! All good things come to those who wait.

mike
Come On Staines! I rather non league clubs over those in league (other than Southampton and Bristol Rovers), and I have come across Staines before!

Pamela Douglas
Good luck you Super Swans (from a Staines exile)

Steve Livey
A Fantastic achievement for all concerned and a genuine belief they can make it to the next round. Come on you Swans!

Neil of Egham
Totally gutted about tonights game being called off but the referee had little choice.Hopefully Sky will still want to film the rearranged match, it's money the Swans so badly deserve and I felt totally gutted for our Chairman Alan Boon on BBC Radio London on my way back from the ground, he was very upset indeed and understandably so far.Anyhow, come on you Swans v Chelmsford City this Saturday and v Stockport. You Swans!!!

Del
I'm a Slough Town fan myself but well done anyway and I hope you get through. By the way, surely Russell Grant meant Uxbridge when he said "Pride of Middlesex" didn't he ?? ;-)

Good Luck to the Staines lads. It's been a few years since I played at Wheatsheaf Lane, but we will be watching tomorrow live on TV in the States. Good luck from both of the The Link Boys!

Richard, New York
I supported Staines Town when they were in the Spartan League. Living in the states, I have not seen them play for over 30 years. Now they are featured live on Fox Soccor Channel playing in the FA Cup first round against Stockport. Absolutely Incredible! Staines Town Rule!

Christine Harberd
Come on you Swans!!! Lets All get together and cheer on our wonderful team. Stockport with their fans showing such great appreciation of our team, after the game, was a truly memorable day.Now let's hope Monday will go down in history as the greatest day ever for Staines Town.

chris
come on county! your goin down staines

John Barrett
Thanks Angie and to all the Staines FC Staff for your help so far with my 'journey to Wembley' (i say 'so far' as who know what can happen on Monday? i might still need your help..)I started with Tiptree Utd (my local club - extra prelim rnd), then briefly London APSA (after TUFC were kicked out!), Brentwood Town, then been with Staines since (beating Brentwood, Woking and now maybe Stockport?).But, whatever happens Monday, Staines FC should be proud of their achievements in this historical and memorable season.Come on the Swans! What an incentive if you win, a home draw art last...

Mick Reynolds
Well done team and Alan Boon. May your dream come true and there is a resurgence of continued support for the Swans whatever the result.

Meshi of Japan
I visited Wheatsheaf Park this Spring and put some powers for Swans there. I hope the Swans go throgh to the next round.

malcolm kirby

The stockport trip was amazing! the match was egde of your seat stuff well for the most part and the way staines came back into the game from the earlier second half goal just shows the passion of our lads. Thats what stockport have to fear on monday night when they visit wheatsheaf park because we will play our hearts out!!! Come on the Swans!!!

Keith
Great to see Russ's comment. We had a great day in Stockport and can only enjoy Monday night.Come on you Swans!

John Laws
First went to Wheatsheaf Lane in 1959, aged 5. Followed Staines over the years then moved to Sheffield in 80's.Went to Stockport game, brilliant, especially 2nd half.Been telling lads in my office for last 20 years, what a great team we are. Will be watching replay on tv.Hopefully we'll have a lot of Owls and Blades fans here in Sheffield, cheering on Staines!

Chris Watmore
Come on you Swans!! This is a very proud time for the many people who have dedicated years of hard work behind the scenes at the club. They deserve the success especially Alan Boon our Chairman. My uncle Dickie Watmore played for the club in the 50's and 60's and still holds the record for the most appearances and my dad hardly ever misses a game, home or away. We can't wait for Monday night!!

Paul Mitchell
Stockport have their own self-belief problems at the moment. Staines can only do well here - nothing to lose but all to gain from full commitment to attack.

CHLOE BOON
GOOD LUCK MONDAY WE CAN DO THIS, I AM SO PLEASED FOR MY GRANDAD HE DESERVES SOME GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!!THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE THROUGH THESE ROUNDS, LETS ALL ENJOY MONDAY NIGHT!

Chris of Shepperton
We have many good games from the Swans this season, but the Stockport game tops the lot,SO FAR!They say that the underdogs only get one bit of the cherry, but I honestly think this ones a diffrent type of cherry. We will beat them.

Neil of Egham
The whole season has been brilliant so far from the first game of the season at Tonbridge Angels until now. Steve Cordey has a great team and i'm confident we can push Stockport all the way in the replay and hopefully be lining in Round 2 v Peterborough at Wheatsheaf Park. I've been at every match on the cup run so far this esaosn and every game has been superb.Come on you Swans

As a Stockport County fan I just hope that we put on a good show for the TV cameras and that the "best" team on the night wins. I met a lot of Staines fans on Saturday and they were all great. Whatever happens next Monday I wish you all the best for the rest of your season.
