But according to Odetta Graves there are other parts of Newham that are not getting the right attention and she thinks that's rubbish.
For 49 years Odetta Graves has been living in East Ham. For the last six months she has taken it upon herself to take hundreds of pictures of rubbish filled streets. For Odetta, East Ham, Plaistow, Upton Park and Forest Gate have gradually gone down hill. She has acknowledged that there has been a recent dispute with the council and bin men resulting in late collections, but believes the bigger problem is the fly tipping and buy-to let houses that has attracted tenants who, she feels, do not take pride in the area. It's almost become an obsession taking the photographs and sending them to the local council but she feels something has to be done if the talk and dreams of regenerating parts of East London is to be realised. last updated: 31/10/07 Have Your SayDo you live in East London?
