As building work begins in Stratford for the 2012 games Kurt Barling speaks to one of the most influential British architects of our time - Lord Richard Rogers.

Building work began today on London's ambitious plans to turn Stratford into a world-class Olympic venue.

One of the people key to the overall design of the Olympic Park and the Mayor's advisor on architecture is Lord Richard Rogers - the man behind the Lloyds building and the Dome. So what does he think of the ambitious plans and undeniable challenges for east London? Our special Correspondent Kurt Barling went to ask him.
