Thousands turn out to watch La Machine parade past Liverpool's iconic buildings
Thousands of people lined the streets of Liverpool to celebrate La Machine's fourth day in the city. Many of the crowd had travelled to the European City of Culture especially to catch a glimpse of the giant arachnid. They were rewarded with views of a waking "princesse" making her stately way past some of Liverpool's iconic buildings and some respite from the heavy rain of previous days.
Join us as the spider wakes from her slumbers outside the Cunard Building, and makes her way past the Royal Liver Building, Town Hall and Derby Square accompanied by her entourage of live music and strange atmospheric effects.
Follow all the latest La Machine action with our mobile correspondents.
