The ferries share the river with tankers and high speed seacats but the crew love the old Mersey ferries because they are so manouverable.

The black and red boats were immortalised in Gerry Marsden's hit record and while the song might not be played on the radio much these days, it's still bringing tourists flocking to the riverside.
