Back at the beginning of 2005, two old friends named Washy and Cannon met up at a school reunion. After a few pints, they soon discovered that they had the same musical taste and more importantly the same burning desire to make music themselves. They arranged to meet up and bring along their respective friends Chris (drums), Matt (rhythm guitar) & Neil (bass) to complete the line up. It was then, as with any good bit of folklore, that the story began.

According to the lads, Warrington can be a little bleak at times, but a few months of rehearsals led to some gigs around the local pubs which brightened things up for all concerned. However, it was only when the first original song was brought to the table at a rehearsal session that the lads knew there was no turning back, this was what they wanted to do...this was what they needed to do!

Mind blowing buzz

Urban Circus describe playing their own music as a "mind blowing buzz" and it is immediately evident how much they thrive on it. They feel that they have a natural ability for memorable riffs and the personality to connect with their audience. 

Over the last twelve months, the band have gigged extensively throughout the North West and have built up a good following both in Manchester and Liverpool. They recently enjoyed playing a live radio session on the John Moores student station Shout.

2006 was a good year for Urban Circus. The lads believe 2007 will be a special one.
