Muslim waving British flag - Matt Writtle/PA
Integration, the way forward...

Parallel Lives?

If Jack Straw is right, Muslims and non-Muslims will 'soon be leading parallel lives' here in the North West. But is he right? Are we a region divided? Or can we bring our communities together? We want to hear from you:

When Home Secretary Jack Straw suggested that the wearing of the veil by Muslim women was a barrier to integration, it unleashed a huge debate about multi-culturalism in the UK.

It’s something that we’re looking at here at BBC television, radio and online right across the region.

What are your experiences? Your children may play together at school but do you mix with your Muslim or non-Muslim neighbours? Whether you do – or don’t - we want to hear from you.
