Located in the heart of Leicester's main shopping district by The Shires and The Haymarket Theatre, Bella Pasta offers a cheap menu of meals for the student population. On Monday and Thursdays, students get 50% discount (20% on other days of the week), which means that pasta dishes that are no higher than £6.45 and pizzas from £6.65. Just remember to bring along your NUS card!

i would just like to comment on the cheapest places u can get ur hands on for cheap food. but bella pasta is a beautiful place to eat. i have been a few times with my dad nd sister.......

Leicester City's Steve Walsh kicked off this Chinese restaurant where every student gets 10% discount. There are a large range of vegetarian dishes from just £6 (without the 10% taken off). Revolution

Set in a comfortable atmosphere with sofas, at Revolution you can tuck into an 8oz burger with cheddar cheese and chipsfor £3.95. Revolution also does two specials for £5.95, so you can share the cost with a mate. Kings

Set in a very traditional and relaxed atmosphere, Kings is the perfect place to eat in peace, especially when every price on the menu doesn't stem above a fiver. Small beer garden. Courthouse

Courthouse has a misty pub atmosphere, which is the perfect place to kick back with a friend, have a bite to eat and play some pool. It is probably one of the cheapest places in Leicester to grab a meal. The most expensive dish on their menu is a big breakfast at £3. Ashoka

At the top end of the Melton Road, Ashoka has a vast menu that is reasonably priced. Ashokas most popular dishes include chicken curry, lamb dupiaza with fried onions, lamb bhuna and lamb rogan with fried tomatoes and garlic. Compact Chinese restaurant. Tasty, huge meals for around a fiver including Singapore noodles and satay chicken. An excellent view of the edge of the city - perfect for watching merry makers stagger into town.
