Three years ago Lesley Cockayne and her husband left Leicestershire for a life of fun and sun in Spain - she catches up on a flying visit.

The pair had originally intended for a move to New Zealand. They decided the trip to the other side of the world was a step too far and opted for Spain instead.

Lesley says her new lifestyle in Spain suits her and husband David and that they are both loving what they describe as a big adventure.

"The climate was quite important for David and the way of life is much more relaxed. When I come back to Leicestershire, everything feels busy and rushed.

"David settled very quickly as he was working. I think that environment helped David to settle much quicker.

"It took me the first 18 months to settle. Most people will tell you that you need to give it 18 months to two years to settle," says Lesley.

Catch up with the latest on Lesley's life in Spain and what she and Martin Ballard talked about when she popped in to Leicester for a chat.
