A rather confident Tony Wadsworth walked straight into a promise we couldn't resist to make him keep!

In a bet that challenged BBC Radio Leicester's listeners to guess the missing link between three carefully selected songs, Tony almost guaranteed that nobody could get it.

Each week, Monday to Friday, BBC Radio Leicester challenges it's listeners to guess the missing link on the early morning shows with Ben Jackson and Tony.

This time around Tony got more than he bargained for.

An embarrassed Tony said: "Well I've only got myself to blame I suppose, but I would blame Mr Brindley in turn of course because he is there to blame after all.

"It was he that decided on... three records in a row that are all linked in some way and I was so confident looking at what he had put the link down as.

"If anybody, anybody at all gets anywhere near guessing this link, I personally will clean the town hall steps with a toothbrush."

Little did he know how soon he would be on his hands and knees doing exactly that!

With toothbrush in hand Tony set to scrub the steps until they were spotless, but just how far did he go?

"I didn’t actually say how many steps and here there are a dozen steps. I'll probably just do the first one or two..."
