Download 2007 is once again to be held at Donington Park and already boasts an enviable line-up of over 95 bands spread over three stages over three days. What has always been great about this festival is that it has always delivered quality, diverse bands that represent the many strands of rock music that exist today from grunge to screamo, from metal to thrash. There is also a healthy mix of established globally recognised acts such as headliners My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park and Iron Maiden. Amongst the new upstarts of recent months set to catapult themselves to acclaim over the next year, such as Bring Me The Horizon and The Zico Chain. Festival highlightsOf the line-up on the opening day, highlights promise to include the electro-tinged Enter Shikari, Velvet Revolver, and The Zico Chain, who always guarantee to produce a fast-paced energetic performance. The main headliners on the Friday are My Chemical Romance, who have enjoyed another year of world conquering success after releasing the epic album The Black Parade. The reaction to Linkin Park could also prove interesting as they have always provoked devotion or dismissal. On the final day the acts include ska band Reel Big Fish, whilst on the main stage timeless rockers Iron Maiden will bring the festival to its climax.
