Leicester's 26-match unbeaten home record ended on Sunday when European champions Munster played the Tigers at Welford Road.

Munster fly-half Ronan O'Gara landed a 51-metre penalty two minutes from time, securing a 21-19 victory for the visitors.

"It put some good pressure on us - it's going to be a great test of what sort of metal we've got. "
Pat Howard, Tigers Head Coach

Leicester fought back resolutely from 18-19 down, as half-time substitute Andy Goode inspired a revival that put the Tigers one point ahead before O'Gara struck.

Pat Howard says that although the Tigers missed some opportunities against Munster, he's not afraid of tough competition:

"It was a very close contest, and we probably had a couple more chances than Munster did, but they took their try-scoring opportunities. That's life.

It put some good pressure on us - it's going to be a great test of what sort of metal we've got and we've got to come out of the pool.

I like the challenge."
