Venues across the Leicester and Leicestershire will host events that infuse elements of local, national and international culture of Chinese decent. Events include Story of Rice 3, a contemporary art installation by one of UK's leading British Chinese artists Suki Chan, a collection of traditional Chinese paintings by three renowned artists from China, Chinese film and animation, photography, craft workshops and storytelling on radio. China Talks evolved through consultation and inspiration from the community in Leicester, Sichuan and Beijing in China. Over the past year, Leicester Chinese Community Centre has been working with New Walk Museum & Art Gallery and BBC Radio Leicester & Arts Council England's Roots Project in developing this project.  | | Suki Chan's neon artwork |

The main exhibitions open in September 2006 at the New Walk Gallery & Museum, as well as broadcasts on BBC Radio Leicester 104.9FM and events running at various venues until November.
