Aye Aye Captain!

By Bridget Blair
One year ago Captain could not have dreamed of the success they're experiencing now. They're one of THE bands to watch at Summer Sundae, they're about to go on tour with Keane, and they've got a top 30 single. Things are looking pretty glorious...

BBC Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair had a chat with Rik and Clare, two members of Captain, and says she's not been so excited about a new band for ages...

The five piece from London specialise in perfectly packaged punchy songs with a delicious double dose of brilliant vocals from Clare and Rik.

They have only been together a year, but the band has already managed a top thirty single, tours with The Delays and sold out dates on the Jim Beam musical tour.

They're going to be supporting Keane for their autumn tour, and their album 'This is Hazelville' comes out next week.

They're a genuinely likeable band with interesting stories to tell... Alex the bassist used to play with a Danish circus and on board the cruise ships, Mario is a real hit with vicars daughters, and they all treat Clare like their baby sister.

Captain are playing on Sunday at 4pm on the Indoor Stage, so make sure you're there!
