Breathing Places is a new BBC project in conjunction with numerous wildlife organisations which aims to inspire communities across the UK to work together to breath fresh life into their neighbourhoods. The National Lottery are providing money for the Breathing Places Fund which aims to help change people's environment. BBC Leicester are encouraging local organisations in Leicestershire and Rutland to apply for grants ranging from £300-£10,000 to create a green haven. So, if you know of anywhere in your area which is in desperate need of regeneration and 'greening' up, check out the BBC Breathing Places website for more information.
