Paintings and other artwork created by refugees is going on show at BBC Leicester's Open Centre.

The exhibition at 9 St Nicholas Place from 19 June-07 July is part of celebrations around the county for Refugee Week.

A new booklet aimed at helping refugees find work is also being launched at the open centre on 21 June.

Work from four projects run by Soft Touch Arts at schools and drop in centres in Leicestershire is featured in the show.

The pieces include pieces by refugees, asylum seekers and other members of the community.

Refugee Housing Association's booklet gives advice on job hunting and will be available in libraries and other public buildings.
