Robbie at the Walkers?

City go pop

Leicester City has applied to the City Council for permission to put on pop concerts at Walkers Stadium - good for Leicester?

Robbie Williams, Oasis and other top pop acts could soon be playing at in Leicester if Leicester City Football Club gets an application to put on gigs at Walkers Stadium granted by the City Council.

The club wants to put on four or five concerts at the stadium during the football off season and wants to attract the big names which usually play at venues in Nottingham and Birmingham, to Leicester.

The club says local residents' fears of increased traffic and noise levels will be addressed but stresses the disruption to living conditions will be minimal.

What do you think of the idea?
