| | NEXX-US, the latest 'breakthrough' in what some call 'Hip Rock', bring their combination of hip hop, soul and rock to Leicester on Friday 23 April.Having supported Atomic Kitten on their recent farewell tour, the girls have just finished recording their debut album, "Feelin Me". The NEXX-US identity is described by their people as a mixture of urban sound with a guitar mix, which is complimented by their own songs. With over 160 tour dates lined up already, NEXX-US are certainly going to be clocking up the miles as they spread their new sounds. "I'm convinced they will receive a very warm welcome at Creation, the band have been compared to the likes of Pink, Destiny's Child and En Vogue," says Clive Davies from Creation.
The club continues a string of its up-and-coming nights with the NEXX-US gig and will feature the next in Pete Waterman's acts the week after.
Pop, who have been likened to Steps, will appear on 30 April and Creation is happy to offer the next generation in chart to the Leicester crowd.
"It's a great floor filler and it's great to give the Leicester public the chance to see the next generation in acts," adds Clive. | Night: | | Nexx-Us | Venue: | | Creation | Date: | | Friday 23 April 2004 | Times: | | 10.30pm until 3am | Price: | | Free before 11pm and £5/£6 after | Dress code: | | Smart casual no trainers, hoods or caps | |
