Festival Features

It's a chance for new and unsigned bands to show what they can do to an audience much bigger than anything they've encountered before as well as a chance to shine in front of some of the movers and shakers in the music industry.

The BBC Introducing Stage is now an integral part of the festival and the contest for places on the line-up is keenly fought. Now we can confirm the schedule of bands for 2009:

All the bands will also play at the Reading Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend. As well as sets streamed online and across BBC Local Radio (Raw Talent), highlights of performances will feature in a festival round-up special on BBC Radio 1 on Monday 31 August 2009, between 7pm and midnight and will also be broadcast on Huw Stephens BBC Introducing show on BBC Radio 1 between 9pm and 10pm on Wednesday 2 September 2009.
