Festival FeaturesYou are in: Leeds > Entertainment > Leeds Festival > Festival Features > Another year over ![]() Arcade Fire on the Main Stage Another year overBy Layla Painter I'm tired, I'm losing my voice, I'm a little bit sun burnt... and in the words of The View (today's NME stage headliners) I've had the same jeans on for four days now. The final day of festival was a great one, though. ![]() Crowd watching The Pigeon Detectives Earlier in the day I'd caught the Pigeon Detectives on the NME stage. Blimey! It's great how Leeds always welcomes local bands and the crowd were packed to the rafters. What with the Kaiser Chiefs, The Sunshine Underground and now The Pigeon Detectives there's been a good outing for the traditional chant of "Yorkshire, Yorkshire" at this year's fest. The Pigeon Detectives are widely tipped as the next big thing and they were obviously enjoying themselves. Nice of singer Matt to thank their Leeds fans for all their support. We have been so lucky with the weather this year - I can't remember the last time there was so much sunshine and so little rain. My wellies didn't get a look in all weekend! For me Leeds 2007 finished with fabulous main stage performances from Arcade Fire and the Red Hot Chili Peppers - but the party was still going on when I dragged my weary bones away from Bramham Park. Another year over - can't wait for 2008! Sunday's round-upMain Stage: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aracde Fire, Bloc Party, Panic! At The Disco, Angels and Airwaves, The Shins, Eagles of Death Metal, The Dead 60s, Paramore How was it for you?Send your festival reports, reviews and photos to us at leeds@bbc.co.uk last updated: 27/08/07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Leeds > Entertainment > Leeds Festival > Festival Features > Another year over [an error occurred while processing this directive] |
