Junior Football match reports

Kirkstall Crusaders 0 - 0 Undercliffe Celtic

Sent in by site user Dave Nisbett
Leeds & District Football Association, Division 1, U16s, Sunday 17 September 2006

Undercliffe Celtic at home! What is it about this team and us that stops us from penetrating their defence?

Well, that's football boys - you have to take your chances at this level. We're better than this team, but we've got to believe in ourselves. Yes, we created lots of chances, but we could not convert. And to be fair, their keeper was very good but rode his luck a bit.

Man of the match - Will, (who did not start), was inspirational in tackling everything and controlled much of the midfield. Strong running from vice captain Jordan also made the difference.

Unlucky boys, but we didn't concede and we are still unbeaten. Let's get back to scoring.
