Junior Football match reports

Pudsey Juniors 1-4 Tingley Athletic

By site user Stuart Beckett
Garforth League, division 4, U11s. Sunday 9 April 2006.

No disgrace in defeat to champions

Pudsey U11s finished their campaign with a loss to Tingley who celebrated after the game, deservedly winning the division four title and remain unbeaten with a couple of games to play.

On a wet and windy morning Pudsey started really brightly and a fine move from the kick-off finished with a Matthew B shot going just wide.

But Pudsey conceded two quick goals against the run of play and were really up against it when conceding another before half time.

With the wind at their backs in the second half Pudsey created some great chances with Hamza going close before Lewis fired home to give Pudsey some belief. Tingley scored another goal soon after though, a fine shot hit the post and quick reactions from the strkier nipped it under keeper Brad and it ended Pudsey's chances.

Despite the loss Pudsey played some of their best football all season and have shown great improvement through the year. Kyle starred in midfield today and man of the match Carl was again a solid and reliable defender.

Well done for a good season lads.
