Sneak preview

You could be first to see some of the new television drama coming out of the north.

BBC Northern Exposure invites you to a sneak preview of Bodies before it hits the screens this autumn. Come along to The Venue on Monday 8 November 2004 to watch the first episode and put your questions to the writer and production team.

Critically-acclaimed when it premiered on BBC THREE earlier this year, Bodies stars Max Beesley, Patrick Baladi, Neve McIntosh, Keith Allen, Susan Lynch, Tamzin Malleson and Preeya Kalidas.

It ventures into the hospital culture of malpractice, whistle-blowing, cover-ups, star ratings and government targets, and is to be broadcast on BBC TWO this Autumn. Laced with action, scandal, sex and complex moral dilemmas, this is a unique view of hospital life, inspired by former doctor Jed Mercurio's acclaimed debut novel.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with writer and producer Jed Mercurio, chaired by Melanie Harris (project director for BBC Writersroom and Northern Exposure).

See Bodies on Monday 8 November, 6pm - 8pm at The Venue, Leeds College of Music. The event is free but space is limited so reserve your place by emailing new.writing@bbc.co.uk. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
