Well, the word Paralelepípedo means, first of all, a solid, in which al the opposing faces are equal and parallel to each other. And so being, as the paving stones have the form of a Paralelepípedo, they ended up taking the name...

Looks easy, but it's not. Because the letter ă you pronounce like AAA and big O: AAAO.
