I took my young son to the park to feed the ducks, saying to Swedish grandparents that Vi ska till parken och mata änkorna, we´re going to the park to feed the widows. The difference is only in the dots above the a: anka is duck, änka is widow. I still get to hear about that after 20 years ...

One wild duck is an 'and ', and several would be 'änder '. One little boy went to the park and said 'titta på ändan ', which means 'look at the bum', plurals can be difficult even for natives!
