Leather cheese and silly sausage

Having only recently arrived in Austria, I was very keen to try the traditional Austrian food, a meat pie called Leberkäse, literally 'liver cheese'. Unfortunately, when I ordered it, I asked for Lederkäse, literally 'leather cheese'. I wonder what that would taste like? The next day, I tried to order a black pudding called Blutwurst, literally 'blood sausage', but in fact asked for Blödwurst, 'silly' sausage! I chuckled to myself for about 10 minutes after my friend explained my mistake...
