Audio 1clip 1

Mr. Deichgräber: My name is Deichgräber. I have been selling Fischer motorized sailing boats for the last 20 years.
Mr. Gruber: My name is Peter Gruber and I work for Bootcentre Creek, Germany. We distribute the product Sunseeker International. These are speed boats.

Interviewer: Are you participating at the Boot Düsseldorf for the first time?
Peter Gruber: No, not at all. We have been exhibiting here at the Boot in Düsseldorf for the last 17 years, in order to sell our product here successfully.

Mr. Lieberman: Hello, I am Horst Liebermann from Sonnensport in Hamburg. I am responsible for purchasing. In our branches we sell sports goods of all sorts, and I am particularly interested in your surf boards.
Mr. Redder: Mr. Liebermann, perhaps I can give you my business card first, my name is Redder, I am in charge of marketing and sales at Surfall. [exchange business cards]
Mr. Lieberman: Here is my card.
Mr. Redder: Thank you. Well, as you can see we are exhibiting both sinkers and normal surf boards.
Mr. Lieberman: Do you have a catalogue and an up-to-date price list for me?
Mr. Redder: Yes, of course.

Woman: Hello. Can I help you?
Man: Yes, I would like to see the interior equipment of your boats.
Woman: Yes, with pleasure. We are exhibiting boats with quite different equipment, according to size and price.
Man: I am interested in boats with four to six berths.
Woman: Fine, I will show you first our 'Neptun', that is our latest model. It has four ordinary berths and up here an additional two berths for children, they fold down.
Man: Yes, and a fully equipped kitchen, I see.
Woman: Yes, it is part of the standard package at no additional cost. Water, electricity or gas are all available, and, as you can see, all sorts of storage space.
Man: A lot of space, I like it, and what does this boat cost?
Woman: That depends on the engine you want, how much horse power, if you want diesel or petrol. It's probably best if I give you our price list...

Woman: Hello. Have you seen our new motorized sailing boat?
Man: Are these English boats?
Woman: Yes, with a lot of room and very comfortable, designed specially for the German market. Would you like a catalogue?
Man: Yes, I would like to have a look. Where in England is your boat yard?
Woman: We are in Southern England, in Southampton. I will give you my card with my extension. I would be delighted if you came to visit us.
Man: Yes, every year I am at the Olympia Fair in London, maybe I can combine it with a visit to you.
Woman: I look forward to it. Good bye
Man: Good bye.

Audio 3clip 2

Ms Reuter: I am calling from Millips, my name is Reuter, hello. I have some questions about participating in the fair - the current spring fair. I know it is a bit late, but we would be interested in participating. Would it still be possible?
Ms Reinhard: Can I just ask you which sector your company is in?
Ms Reuter: We work in telecommunications. We would like to bring our telephones to the fair and to present the know-how in this sector. Would you still have a stand available?
Ms Reinhard: Yes, can I ask you what size you were thinking about?
Frau Reuter: Yes, we thought about one hundred square metres. Then we could exhibit our full range.
Ms Reinhard: We have a stand in the aisle, but it's only sixty square metres. I can also offer you a corner stand, that would be seventy three square metres.
Frau Reuter: And what would the corner stand cost?
Frau Reinhard: You pay 185 marks per square metre. That is for the total duration of the fair, including setting up and taking down.
