Qigong
The Chinese believe that physical wellbeing will lead to spiritual and mental wellbeing. That's why many older people practise qigong, the Daoist art of energy control, in the park every morning. Children, too, routinely do physical exercises in the playground. This clip also shows how the Chinese introduce themselves in more detail and the importance of choosing a meaningful name.

National Day
October 1st, China's National Day, is far from being a day of rest. In Beijing, people swarm to Tiananmen Square to see the floral displays, or go shopping in Wangfujing, one of the city's main shopping precincts. Cooking and eating a grand meal is also a must on this important holiday. In this clip, the phrases for 'Happy New Year' and good evening are covered.
