What do you miss most about living in Lancs?
I miss sausage, chips and curry, a decent pint of beer, Preston North End and my pet Iguana. And I miss decent customer service!
What don't you miss?
My old job designing adverts in grey Leyland with 'security bars on the windows', flea ridden carpets and awful coffee machines. I don't miss the way you could never 'plan' a BBQ - they always had to
be organised last minute! I don't miss everyday routine - as I had a depressing routine!!!
What's the best bit about where you live now?
Croissants, proper coffee, having the excuse that being english you are excused for most faux pas, 5 litres of rosé wine for 6€ (the bonus being you can run your car with it too). The beach is 10 minutes one way, the ski slopes are 45 minutes the other way. The summers are hot, the winters are cold (not just constantly damp and grey all year round). I can finally start my chilli farm - outside!!! |
