What's the band's history so far?
Deadjim first gigged in early 2003 with the 3 original members, Tom, James and Frank, and two others. After playing numerous gigs they built up a fan base around their local towns and moved on to gigs further away from their hometown. By sending off demos and catching the eyes of promoters from certain performances, from acheivements such as battle of the bands victories, popularity started to grow and leak into larger towns such as Preston. Due to mixed reasons, two member changes occured and a new bass player and drummer were aquired in early 2004, giving the current 5 piece line up today. For the most part of a year, there was a 6th member, Baritone Saxophonist Chris Dickinson, who left the band due to career oppurtunities. Also, in January 05, Trumpet player, Ian Burgess, was added to the line-up after leaving his old band, ‘Jinza’.

Style and influences?
Deadjim have always found their music hard to catagorise and have been described as having 'obvious influences' from dozens of genres including soul, blues, metal, funk and even Cajun, Reggae Punk is a general label applied to the band, mainly for advertising purposes.
