From Roddlesworth Information Centre we walked up to Darwen Tower. The Tower, which was bult over a century ago in tribute to Queen Victoria, acts as a good reference point when the map reading skills disintegrate.
Is there a place in Lancashire you would like to recommend for a day's walking.
Chris, Tottington, Lancashire Thanks Caroline but this page is about Tockholes, nr Darwen not Anglezarke. You'll find plenty of purple heather on Darren Moors!
Carole O'Hare Anklezark res is a great Sunday walk,it goes through the tiny hamlet of White Coppice and this time of year is particularly nice with all the purple heather around
