The Cyclone Ride at Southport - it may not have been the highest but when the operator saw that he has some pretty girls on board it became the whitest "white knuckle" one I ever rode on. The cars used to lift off the track over the summits.What a pity it was demolished.

I went to Hoghton Tower with my Mother and somebody visiting pointed out to me that on one of the windows was inscribed a signature\initial, apparantly this is what wedding couples did at their wedding ceremonies with their diamond rings (the staff were not aware that it was there)
