Absolutely amazed that Saints did not win the team of the year! Incredible that Saints are nominated for national team of the year in the BBC Sports Personality (Sale are not), yet were not deemed fit for North West team of the year. This shows the North West Sports Award to be an absolute farce!!

How the hell do Sale get team of the Year? Surely St.Helens having won the Cup, League and Grand Final deserve it more. This is another joke the BBC have added to run alongside the BBCs Sports Personality of the Year Show, which is just awful!

How can anyone think Sale's achievements were higher than Saints. Ridiculous. I hope the Saints win the national award to shame the Beeb in the north west.

Great to see Paul Wellens and Daniel Anderson winning rugby player of the year and coach of the year but how did Sale Sharks win team of the year? They won 1 rugby trophy, St Helens won 3.

How on earth can Sale Sharks be picked as team of the year above St. Helens. St. Helens have won every domestic team and individual trophy there is to win in Rugby League this season and have been short listed for sports personality team of the year. Hooray for Accrington Stanley, they get promoted and win a trophy!! Unfortunately this appears to be yet again the BBC shunning Rugby League
