Mela was a great day last week - really multi-cultural- great music, good food and most importantly, it had a large pink and yellow bouncy slope. Amazing! However, when I looked in the comment section - Big Fil thought it was 'rubbish' but Hamza said it was wicked. Keep sending them in - I love to hear your views! The comedy night was a good laugh as well - exactly what you’d expect really from a good comedy show. You never know what you're doing in this business. On Wednesday, I got a last minute invitation to speed dating with BBC Radio Lancashire. I barely had time to tell my fella and get my lip gloss before I was at Preston's Novotel. It was a real eye-opener. I thought that it'd be full of desperate 'mingers' but I was wrong. Even though I’m not single I had a really good time meeting different people. Some people went to find love, others companionship and better still, some just went for a laugh. When I spoke to the participants they told me their sob stories and how they actually preferred speed dating to the regular method of dating the agency ‘Partner To Partner’. They get to decide whether they want to meet them again instead of having to reluctantly stay at a date, when they know whether or not they like that person within the first five minutes! I also made my debut on the radio - my first taste of mainstream radio. Wahoo! - which was fantastic! People seem to be really interested in speed dating! I’ve got so much to cram in. I can't wait to go to the Loaded do in Blackpool on the 27 August. I've had that planned for ages and I'm going to be checking out fashion and film soon. It’s all very exciting. I'm loving my time here, absolutely loving it. Four weeks left and four weeks gone, I don't want to leave! |
