CSV Action is run by a team of 15 volunteers in partnership with CSV - the UK's largest volunteering organisation. We're here to help our listeners and we do it in all sorts of ways. We want BBC Radio Lancashire listeners to help each other - whether it's reporting a lost dog or responding to an appeal for secondhand bikes - like the one that's maybe been lying around in your garden shed for the last few years!! And if you need some help yourself, don't be shy - let us know what you need and we'll try and meet the challenge. We want to inspire people in Lancashire to go the extra mile and really make a difference. Often we'll ask for volunteers for causes close to home. But recently we asked for help for Tsunami victims and more than 300 Radio Lancashire listeners joined our Aquabox campaign - buying and filling more than 500 Water purifying boxes and sending them to disaster hit areas all over the world. CSV Action is here to awaken new interests - we want to inspire people to take up opportunities they might not have considered before - like learning a new skill or a new language - or even passing them on to someone else. We broadcast bulletins throughout the day so listen out and see if you can help - or call us and let us know how we can help you or your community.
