DIY Project
Decorating a Room

This project is about finding the total cost involved in redecorating a room. The room needs to be re-painted. This will involve stripping the walls and getting ready for new paint. New lining paper will need to be put up. This is the wallpaper put onto older walls to create a smooth surface for painting onto. Finally the walls will need to be painted.

To finish the job off we are going to put new carpets down. The project involves calculating the costs of each stage of the operation and calculating a total. Along the way we will take a separate look at converting units, to help with the calculations. The plan shows the layout of the top floor of the house. The room we will be working on is bedroom 1. The house has 10-foot ceilings. Standard doorframes are 3' x 6'9" and the main windows are 5' x 4'.
