Before they start putting the presentation together, the group decides to head to the library to find out everything they can about theme parks. Penny and Jim look for articles and books in the reference section, while Brendan and Sue use the computer to surf the Internet. Use a search engine to find information about a specific topic on the Internet. For some helpful tips, have a look at Research - Using the Internet. |
The facts from the library are good, but what about the theme park's customers - the general public? What would they want to see in their ideal theme park? One of the best ways of finding out what the public thinks is to use a survey or questionnaire. The group decides to put together a questionnaire to give to all their schoolmates and teachers. The results will give them an idea about what the general public like best about theme parks. Using their research information, Brendan and Sue put together a questionnaire on a Word document. They print off some copies and send Penny and Jim around the school to get people to fill them in.
The group gets responses from 10 people from each class, so that each attraction has a possible top score of 50. We'll see how the results turned out later. Click 'Next' to help the group sort the questionnaire data into a database.
