Pressure Groups
Next Move

Their next move is to have a brainstorming session to decide on their roles, investigate pressure groups, and plan their time.

They decided that pressure groups are organised groups of people with a common viewpoint who campaigned to influence public opinion and sometimes government policy and legislation.

Using some of the research techniques from the 'Extras' section such as Top Tips for Research Skills they found out the names of a variety of pressure groups including Greenpeace, CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), ASH (Action on Smoking and Health), BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection), and Friends of the Earth.
