Effective Presentations
What are you going to talk about?

The next thing you need to do is decide on what you are going to talk about.
The best way to do this is to write down everything you know about the subject,
then throw out the topics that you don't need.

key pointRemember — the talk is only about 4 minutes long

Don’t be in a rush to cover everything.
Throw out topics that are irrelevant.
A snappy talk will be easier for
the audience to follow.

You have thought of a number of topics but there are too many to cover here in 4 to 5 minutes, so you have decided not to cover the first episode; what happened in last week's show; the main actors and comparing UK soaps to those from the USA.

key pointHere's what you have left

  • Where is the action set?
  • Description of the audience
  • Date the series started
  • Why it is popular?
  • Social issues
  • Days & times it is shown
  • What kind of people does it feature?
  • Compare with other TV soaps

You need to find some pictures to spice things up a bit. Click next to take a closer look.
