| | | | | | Title: 'I Hate Christmas' Brett is a taxi driver from Ashford. He can't understand what all the fuss is about with Christmas. In fact, if it was up to him he'd ignore the whole thing and work on Christmas Day. Who likes turkey? Who likes sprouts anyway?

Apart from the usual rip off prices the shops charge us every year at Xmas time and the massive debts you run up trying to keep everyone happy! have you noticed that manners go totally out of the window! People rush around trying to get everything done, they stand on your foot and knock you out of the way, just so they can get the last whatever on the shops shelf, even though they don't really need it!! Yeah! Brett has it right, Xmas you can stuff it where the Turkey will make it's inevitable re appearance. Trevor
Brilliant, so so true, had me in stitches. Anon
Great stuff!! I've had 25 years of doing family christmas and I am whole heartily sick to death of it. You buy presents for kids who have already got far too much, food you end up throwing away, all the decorations and paraphanalia is in the shops for months so by the time xmas comes you can't stand the sight of it. I can't wait till my kids are grown up then I'm buggering off abroad!! Anon
I agree it's only the children that benefit, however the parents run up large debts, and in my family it causes arguments, at the moment our eldest daughter is not talking to us over christmas arrangements. this usually happens every christmas. both my wife and I put on weight, and have to work hard to get the weight off, during the next year. Patrick
I think that vid was good, sums it all up, waste of time and money, comes around too often for my liking, once every ten years would be better, cards, dont talk to me about cards, what on earth is all that about ? a six year old taking 32 cards to school for the class ! and all those people with their houses lit up , I ask you, Shuv it !!!! htagg
Michael Gurr: your dad is a wonderfully creative man with the power to make us laugh! No small thing by any means. Please try to get him to make more videos! (How about "The Making of I Hate Christmas" or "I Hate Christmas -- The Director's Cut?" Well Done! CJ Carpenter
I'm Brett's son and he has always been like that since i can remember... good one dad!! Michael Gurr
Awesome, sums up the British Christmas in a nutshell. The comment about the 30 pound turkey for a family of two made me cry with laughter! It's so true how so many of us are forced to chew our way through endless turkey sandwiches and pies and curries and soup...is it any wonder why we only eat it once a year? Nicholas Coleman
Mr. Brett Gurr, creator of the "I Hate Christmas" video on the BBC Kent web site, has all the makings of a UK National Treasure. Made me laugh 'til my sides hurt. "Who likes sprouts" indeed! Well Done Mr. Gurr -- and many, many thanks for the good laugh! CJ Carpenter
