The Falcon and the Worm

The falcon and the worm

Inspired by the plasticine adventures of Wallace and Gromit, a group of seven year olds from Faversham have made their first steps into the world of animation.

The falcon and the worm is one of their recent productions:

The falcon and the worm

Using the same stop frame technique made famous by Nick Park the youngsters at Ethelbert Road Primary School have been getting great reviews for their work since publishing it online.

Making animation

The plotlines are generally straightforward - sea creature meets another sea creature, they move around a bit - but the effect is magically charming, and remarkably successful considering their young age.

Since starting the after school animation club last year, a dozen children regularly spend their time building sets, modelling characters, taking photos and editing the results on the computer.
