Steve has been running since he was 16, but admits he is a "bit of a plodder" but he's happy with his training so far, and is hoping his first ever marathon, the Kent Coastal marathon, will help towards the target of £11,000 needed for the machine. His son, Daniel, is also running a one-and-a-half mile fun run on the same day. Since Steve made this film he and his wife raised approximately £800 towards the PICC machine. Although a great amount it wasn't enough to purchase the machine, but undeterred, Carolyn approached the League of Friends who agreed to fund the shortfall.
