Kent People - Amazing StoriesYou are in: Kent > Features > Kent People - Amazing Stories > Is anybody there ??? ![]() The grand father clock had moved... Is anybody there ???Strange murmerings and events had been noted at a local town council's chambers. Further investigation was needed and Phil Harrison volunteered for the job... With nothing better to do on a Saturday night, Phil Harrison thought that a night in the dark waiting for a lady might liven things up a bit, so he headed off to Maison Dieu, Dover Town Council's offices. ![]() Wendy states she has seen a light on the stairs. Phil was in for a night he'd never forget, especially as a male presence had been detected too! Thanet Ghost Watch, Council members, and Phil went to see why there was a white lady's nightdress in the Council chambers. Another case of sleaze, or was it something a bit more sinister? In February 2007, BBC Radio Kent's reporter, Bob Dale had been to Dover to discover more about the spirit of Mary, who was a servant killed by a soldier's bullet in the Glorious Revolution in 1688. While talking to Mayor, Jan Trantor, who was telling Bob about her appearances...Mary decided to ring the doorbell. ![]() Bob captures a light anomaly. Thanet Ghost Watch have sent through some spooky snippets. Have a look/listen and see what you think. BBC Radio Kent's very own "spook cynic", James Bursey, wasn't convinced. Are you? Help playing audio/video If there was anyone/anything there, Phil was determined to find it.
